What are you looking for?
The leaves are changing, days are getting shorter, and the temperature is starting to come down. All of this means that fall has arrived again. While there are a lot of fall activities in Pittsburgh to enjoy, none are more fun and memorable than a trip to Kennywood!
However, heading to an amusement park in the fall is a bit different than in the middle of summer. Therefore, there are some things you need to know when planning your visit to Kennywood in the fall.
Here’s your guide to enjoying Kennywood this autumn.
In the fall, it can get pretty warm in the daytime and cool down quite a bit in the evening. Thus, it is wise to wear layers that will keep you warm but that are easy enough to strip away when it's warm. For instance, a long-sleeved shirt underneath a short-sleeved shirt or a light jacket are perfect to help you keep comfortable as the temperature changes.
Don’t forget to wear a comfortable pair of shoes as well!
For all the Halloween lovers, Kennywood Phantom Fall Fest transforms the park into a bone-chilling, scream-filled haunted playground. This Kennywood fright nights run to the end of October and feature seven signature haunted houses and four scare zones across the park.
If this sounds like a wicked good time to you, be sure to check out our guide to Kennywood’s Phantom Fall Fest.
For the little ones, the daytime is much safer as the Phantom and his friends only come out at night. This means that Kiddieland, Thomas Town™, and many of our family attractions and rides are open as usual. Stop by early to avoid the scarier side of Kennywood.
This fall, Kennywood has revamped our menu to bring our guests some devilishly delicious seasonal delights. While at the park, you can find all sorts of delectable fall-inspired foods and creations such as seasonal beers, pumpkin funnel cakes, Mummy Dogs, Mini Corn on the Cob, Pumpkin Face Cheese Quesadillas, and so much more.
But these tasty treats are only available this fall, so be sure to try them out before they are gone!
Outside of all the spooky, scary haunted houses, Kennywood has a handful of fantastic events lined up for fall.
On October 15th, come down to Kennywood to get a picture with Andrew Fuller, the winner of Netflix's hit show Is It Cake?, who will be near the Kandy Kaleidoscope from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Then, on October 22nd, get your dog into the Halloween season by bringing your furry friend to Kennywood for a special Halloween parade, costume contest, and more!
Fall is a wonderful time to visit Kennywood as we have different kinds of seasonal fun for all ages. Be sure to get your tickets today to see all that Kennywood has going on this autumn.
We’ll see you at the park!
