Kennywood, Sandcastle, Idlewild & SoakZone begin summer hiring push
WEST MIFFLIN, PA - The Pittsburgh region's premier family fun attractions, Kennywood, Sandcastle Waterpark, and Idlewild & SoakZone are now accepting job applications for the 2017 summer operating season.
The largest youth employer in the Tri-State arae, Kennywood intends to hire about 1,500 individuals to work in departments like Rides, Games, Food & Beverage, Grounds and Public Safety. Sandcastle will hire about 400 employees and Idlewild roughly 800 people for the same departments. Both Sandcastle and Idlewild are also recruiting lifeguards.

"In addition to a paycheck, jobs at Kennywood, Sandcastle and Idlewild & SoakZone offer more than just a paycheck, as team members often create lifelong friendships and great memories working with us."
Beyond being a great addition to a young adult's resume, employment at Kennywood, Sandcastle and Idlewild brings perks such as flexible scheduling, free admission to all three parks and a number of other regional amusement parks, discounted tickets for friends and family, team-building activities such as movie nights, intramural sports competitions and discounts on park food and merchandise.
Most Kennywood, Sandcastle and Idlewild seasonal positions are available to applicants age 16 and older. Some job opportunities are available to those age 14 and 15. Retirees and adults interested in seasonal work are also encourage to apply.
Kennywood is America's Finest Traditional Amusement Park! Sandcastle Waterpark has been providing summer fun for 28 seasons. Sandcastle offers funs for all ages with 15 infamous waterslides, the wild Mon-Tsunami Wave Pool, scenic Mushroom Pool, relaxing Lazy River, pint-sized Tad Pool, and Wet Willie's Waterworks.
Idlewild & SoakZone, founded in 1878 as a picnic ground along the Ligonier Valley Rail Road, is the longest-operating amusement park in Pennsylvania and third-oldest in America. It has been recognized as the world's best children's park by Amusement Today.
