Welcome to the Kennywood Media Center! The Kennywood Public Relations Team welcomes both inquiries and visits from credentialed members of the news media for the production of high quality news features and programs.

Media Admission Policy

Kennywood welcomes visits by the media to cover the interesting happenings at Pittsburgh’s Thrill and Entertainment Destination. Park policy requires that working media be escorted by a member of the Public Relations Department, unless expressly cleared in advance by the Communications Director.

Media are also welcome to visit to familiarize themselves with the park and its many story opportunities through a park visit. Media park visits are only available for active, working news media. Administrative, sales and/or retired personnel are not eligible for media admission passes. Media park visits can be requested via the Media Inquiry line on the Contact Us page and should be made at least one week prior to your desired date of visit.

Kennywood is Pittsburgh’s Thrill and Entertainment Destination! The park offers modern thrills and classic rides, including eight roller coasters, a 12-ride Kiddieland, lands themed to Thomas & Friends™ and the Pittsburgh Steelers, and several attractions that cannot be found anywhere else. Kennywood, founded in 1898, provides unforgettable fun for all ages.
Kennywood is Pittsburgh’s Thrill and Entertainment Destination! The Pittsburgh-area park offers modern thrills and classic rides, including eight roller coasters, a 12-ride Kiddieland, lands themed to Thomas & Friends™ and the Pittsburgh Steelers, highlighted by the record-setting Steel Curtain coaster. Kennywood’s three wooden coasters have been designated Landmark rides by the American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE), joining several other rides as unique Kennywood experiences. Founded as a trolley park in 1898 and named a National Historic Landmark in 1987, the Kennywood experience goes well beyond the rides. Guests enjoy homemade fudge, Deep Fried Oreos, and Kennywood’s world-famous Potato Patch fries!
