It's a sure sign spring is almost here: our 2023 Preseason Pass Processing dates have been finalized! Now, if you're a first-time Passholder, you might have some questions. So today, we thought we'd put together this brief Q&A with what you need to know.
Who needs to go to Preseason Pass Processing?
Preseason Pass Processing dates are strongly recommended (but not required) for all 2023 Kennywood Season Passholders who did not get their 2023 Season Pass processed last year during the tail end of the 2022 Summer Season, 2022 Phantom Fall Fest, or 2022 Holiday Lights. All 2023 Season Passholders must have their Season Pass processed either during one of our Preseason Pass Processing dates or on the date of their first visit once the park opens.
Note: Sandcastle and Idlewild and SoakZone will have their own Preseason Pass Processing dates that will be communicated over the next few weeks. Season Passes must be processed at the park they were purchased from.
If I can get my Season Pass processed during my first visit, why do Preseason Pass Processing dates exist? What exactly are they?
Preseason Pass Processing dates allow you to save more time for fun once the park opens for the season! By getting your Season Pass Processed early, you won't have to waste time on an actual park operating date. Remember, since all 2023 Season Passholders need to get their Season Pass processed if they have not already, lines can become quite lengthy at the Season Pass Processing Center on park operating dates early in the season. Don't say we didn't warn you!
While the park itself is not open during Preseason Pass Processing, there will be some bonus activities available in the Main Gate area (see below).
When are the 2023 Preseason Pass Processing dates and times?
2023 Preseason Pass Processing will occur on the following dates and times:
- Saturday, April 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Sunday, April 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Friday, April 7 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Saturday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Friday, April 14 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Sunday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Friday, April 21 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Is there anything else to do besides getting my Season Pass processed during Preseason Pass Processing?
YES! One of the more popular things Gold and Platinum Passholders get to do during Preseason Pass Processing is pick up their souvenir cup that is included with their Season Pass. This can be done on any Preseason Pass Processing date. We can't wait to share this year's design with you – so be sure to stay tuned to our social media channels for the big reveal!
On Saturdays and Sundays during Preseason Pass Processing, there are some extra activities to enjoy:
- Try your luck with a giveaway (prizes TBA)
- Dance to a live DJ (times TBA)
- Meet Kenny Kangaroo (times TBA)
- Sample some snacks (Available to purchase a la carte).
And of course, meet and mingle with your new fellow Passholders!
As always, dates, times, and activities are subject to change. Be sure to keep an eye on our Passholder Perks page, social media channels, and email newsletter for the latest updates.
See you beginning Saturday, April 1 for Preseason Pass Processing – and then Saturday, April 22 for Opening Day and the first of our new Passholder Perk Weekends!
