Kennywood’s Phantom Fall Fest Named a Top 5 Theme Park Halloween Event in the County

PITTSBURGH, PA [September 30, 2026] – Kennywood’s Phantom Fall Fest has been voted #4 Best Theme Park Halloween Event in the country by USA TODAY 10BEST, placing it among the top five Halloween events at theme parks nationwide.

The USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards are selected by the public from a group of nominees chosen by USA TODAY 10BEST editors and industry experts, making this recognition a great reflection of what guests love about Phantom Fall Fest.

Phantom Fall Fest runs weekends through November 1 and offers Halloween fun for the whole family. During the day, guests can enjoy trick-or-treating, seasonal activities and a new fall food tasting, while evenings bring haunted houses, roaming scares and the thrills of Kennywood after dark.

There’s plenty of newness to experience this year. During the day, families can explore Ghostwood Estate during all-new trick-or-treating, while foodies can taste their way around the Lagoon at Kennywood’s new Fall Fest Tasting Experience, featuring five stops with seasonal favorites from baked apple dumplings and pumpkin cheesecake to pierogies, bratwurst and smoked mac and cheese.

Once the sun goes down, the scares kick in with seven haunted attractions and four scare zones, all included with park admission, including the all-new Ghostwood Estate: Open House, where guests explore Lord Kenneth Ghostwood’s estate on foot, and Detached, returning for its second season with a trip into the Puppet Master’s toy shop. More than 30 rides, including Phantom’s Revenge, The Steel Curtain and Black Widow, also run throughout the evening.
