Each season Kennywood hosts some of the most memorable and fun events near Pittsburgh, PA. From the Fall Fantasy Parade to Phantom Fright Nights, guests who visit the Park during our special events can expect to receive a special 'traditional Kennywood experience'. Those looking for summer events in Pennsylvania can look no further! In July, get ready to Celebrate America at Kennywood with fun and festive fireworks at night and hangout at Summerfest; and in August, be ready to celebrate the arrival of fall with fun parades with unique themes at Fall Fantasy.

Join the talent of WTAE Action News when they take over Kennywood for one of the year’s biggest bashes: Summerfest! It’s seven days of fun, where you can mingle and even ride with the reporters and anchors of WTAE, all capped off by the annual Summerfest Parade on July 22!

Your favorite KDKA personalities are in for the ride of their lives! The tables have turned; they’re joining the Kennywood team – refereeing games of skill and serving up some of our signature treats.
Once a year, the SkyCoaster stops flying and Cheerleaders take over the Lagoon Stage. Cheer Squads compete for the coveted Kennywood Cheerleading Arrows! Download the registration form here. Squads must register by July 27, 2016.

Brews in the Park
NEW FOR 2016! Kennywood will host its first-ever craft beer festival, Brews in the Park. While the rides will be shut down as Kennywood transitions from summer operation to Phantom Fright Nights, guests can enjoy their favorite craft beers, food offerings from Kennywood’s signature stands and local food trucks, live music performances and more! Fall in Kennywood will forever be tied to Phantom Fright Nights. Demented clowns, hungry vampires and ghastly ghouls haunt the grounds of America’s Finest Traditional Amusement Park, with ten haunted attractions for guests to explore. Fog and fear lighting fill the park as you experience Kennywood’s rides in a frightfully fun new way! *Phantom Fright Nights is not recommended for children under the age of 13*

Pittsburgh’s best new holiday tradition is Holiday Lights at Kennywood. More than 1.5 million lights twinkle throughout Kennywood, Pennsylvania’s tallest Christmas tree (90 feet!!) towers over the park, and holiday-themed entertainment abounds. Come for the lights, come for the rides, come for the food, and you won’t forget the special memories you make!
