Kennywood's oldest flat ride, The Whip, debuted at the park in 1919 and was upgraded from a 12 to 16-car model for the 1926 season. Its popularity has not waned! Traveling an elliptical track, riders "whip" around the bends at either end, leading to a great deal of laughter.
