Happy Hauntings is Kennywood’s kid-friendly Halloween event! Children can enjoy Kiddieland, Thomas Town and some ‘big-kid’ rides while trick-or-treating, participating in dance parties, and more!
Tickets at the gate are $18.99; when purchased online, tickets are $15.99. Please note, processing fees apply to tickets purchased online, and a $1 amusement tax applies to all ticket sales. Children age 3 and under can visit Happy Hauntings free of charge.
Happy Hauntings is designed with children under 10 in mind, however, all those young in at heart can expect to enjoy themselves!
Children are permitted to wear costumes to Kennywood for Happy Hauntings. However, parts of some costumes (such as capes or longer accessories) may not be worn on select rides for safety reasons. Please, no adults in costume for Happy Hauntings.
The new Thomas Town™ at Kennywood attraction highlights Happy Hauntings' ride lineup, featuring the Journey with Thomas and four additional family-friendly rides, along with the Big Adventures Play Zone and a special seasonal show at Tidmouth Sheds. Steel Curtain is open for taller and more adventurous riders (height requirement: 48"). Guests can also enjoy family favorites like Jack Rabbit, Paratrooper, the Merry Go Round, and a rotating selection of Kiddieland rides.
Like most of Kennywood's special seasonal events, only a limited portion of the park is open for Happy Hauntings. The majority of activities occur in the area around the Lagoon, plus Thomas Town™ and Kiddieland. The Steel Curtain is open. The Hootin' Holler Hayride takes guests through other areas of the park, which are not accessible by foot.
Silver, Premium, Ride & Slide, and Ride & Dine Season Passholders can visit Happy Hauntings on Sunday dates for only $10 per Passholder. Please note, Bronze, Senior Evening, and End of Summer Passes are not eligible for discounted admission to Happy Hauntings.
Yes! Many of Kennywood’s signature favorite foods (including the Potato Patch!) will be available, along with specialty seasonal items. Come hungry!
